I have a 94 OBS with weird issue
Hi everyone
I have a 94 7.5 OBS with weird issue.
No one can figure it out. It was at the last shop for 6 months before they gave up.
Starts, runs, revs great in Park. But in Drive it struggles to go.
Any ideas or best OSB mechanics in Greater Vancouver BC ?
Thank you
Adam

Fresh, gone thru several fills since problem began, revs great in Park.
None the less I changed inline filters and blew the lines; no resistance. pump works great.
One tank doesn't work, but this was never an issue, just annoying.
I changed thermostat, MAP sensor,
I scanned it - no error codes
It drive fine for a minute before stalling, but back in Park, and it's fine again like nothing was the matter.
Could overheating issue? After a short rest, it can drive another short distance. the cooler it is the further it will go.
Thanks a million

If you do not have access to a light and you are 800 miles from a parts store
Crank that distributor around a bit, to add some timing, and then recheck the drivability
I always look down at the factory timed chisel mark on the distributor and the block (to see if it has been messed with)
Most of the time, if I have to re-time one and I do it. I then re-inspect the chisel mark, only to find that they are now lined up
So, for sheets and grins, check those marks

You need empirical numbers, not a verbal response. Invest in a few tools so you can diagnose this yourself. Otherwise the wallet biopsy will continue.
