looking at a '94.

I have an '89 7.3 IDI and I'm looking at a '94 with the Powerstroke. I like my IDI because it so easy and cheap to work on. My concern with the '94 is it's the first year for the PS. I want to hear what everyone thinks about the "94. Tell me the good and the bad. I want to hear it all. Thanks guys.

I have a 94 and it looks to me like I have all the same problems that everyone has with a power stroke 94 or not. Nothing different as far as problems go.

I believe the 94 only came in manual, which seems to be tough to find later.

Hey SF ESS! Thanks for your service!!! It can be trying times being in "Time Out" in the sandbox, I like many others here, appreciate your and you families sacrifices! I would like to recommend on the IDM to find one in the junkyard to modify. You can go to the junkyard and find one for 50 bux or less. Shake it before you buy it and make sure it has no water in it. Then bolt it in and make sure you can run with it. Then modify it yourself....nothen to it. Thanks again for your service!!! HOAH!

I think there's only one or two little differences between the 94 PSD's and the 95-97's.

If you are looking at a '94 be sure it's a manual trans, all the '94 Auto's were IDI trucks.

Shoot Talyn a PM and ask him about his. He's done a lot to his '94 PSD and knows more about it than a lot of guys here.

I havn't heard of any problems with them that are different than any other OBS PSD.

Good luck!

The only difference I know of are the location of some sensors on the fuel filter housing.
