LTS800 VIN Decoding

So at this point I have to register the truck with what is on the door tag. When people ask what year is the truck I would love to be able to say 19XX. I am pretty confident it is in the 70s era, maybe early 80s. With all the information I have given, any thoughts on what to tell people for a year. Best guess maybe.......

The door tag is from another truck.
In post ten, you had found Y8ODVC64055 on an outer frame rail.
THAT is the VIN for the frame and probably the whole truck. What engine is in the truck? Does it match one of the engines listed in post 11?
