oem filters?

Starting fluid is a last resort, may have messed up the maf or map sensors?

One spot to check would be the DFCM, the primary pump, make sure the cap is screwed all the way up to the stops, one on the cap which meets the one on the body.

If the fittings on the secondary filter in engine bay were not tight, there'd be fuel all over but I do believe I read a thread from Ford Doctors about one of the O-rings rolling when that filter was replaced and was sucking air.

Did you do enough priming cycles... turn key to on engine off and allow the pump to run for 30 seconds each time, purging air from the system? I believe the manual says 6 times... I go double that, at least...

Motorcraft fuel filters only, the FD4615 set.

Read this here before... Use fresh engine oil on the cap threads and the new O-ring... Much easier to screw on...

Engine issues after filter changes

I did the same service and it ran fine until I pressed it a little hard and I got the 7E8 & 7E9 codes. It has happened twice. I get a reduced power message but don't notice anything. The truck is also deleted and tuned. I'm thinking it is one of the position sensors, pedal or throttle.
