Help with DTC
04 Ex with 130,000 miles. Truck skips sometimes but not all the time. Runs rough at start up but seems to smooth out at highway speeds. Checked codes and got P0266,P0269 and P0603. Any words of wisdom appreciated. Do I need to get ready to replace injectors or could it be something else causing the cylinder contribution issues.

When is the last time the fuel filters were changed fuel pressure is a possibility. The fuel injector is a possibility. The fuel injection pressure regulator a possibility. The FICM is a possiblity. Check the easy ones first. The codes do indicate a contribution balance problem like you mention so there is a miss in the engine.

I changed the oil and all of the filters 6000 miles back. I will service the truck, change the filters and see if it helps. Cheaper than going to the shop and it is almost due an oil change anyway.

You didn't say what engine you had, and I don't know if it matters. My '04 SD Deisel service manual says...
P0266 - Cylinder 2 Contribution/Balance - Check Fuel Pressure
P0269 - Cylinder 3 Contribution/Balance - Check Fuel Pressure
P0603 - Powertrain Control Module Keep Alive Memory Error
The first two could be injector or fuel pressure related. The last one can be caused by disconnecting the batteries, flashing the PCM or possibly a problem with the PCM.
