I cleaned up my alternator mounting bosses , and my new alternator, and the bolts, then used a bolt to bolt a lugged cable to the rear of my 3g alt. this is an easy way to improve the 4.9 engine ground without having to even touch the starter one. the starter one is also thin gauge and is part of the one that daisy chains, unprotected and exposed wires, to the frame rail nearby. rusty usually.

Perhaps I will move to the block then as I need to reinstall my starter anyway on the 4.9 or just add an additional ground.
