please help me, please, i have a 92 F-150 4x4 with a 302. the another night when i was out, i turned my truck off, then when i went to start it, it at first acted like the battery was dead, it was hard turning over evenaly to just a click from the solenoid. so i got a ride home with friend, we came back later to the truck to jump it, it still just clicked, so we pushed it and i dropped the clutch, fired right up. now i have put a two new solenoids, a new starter, cable ends, and had the battery test, and am still just getting a click. is there a fuse somewhere that would do this? is there something i may have over looked? please is there any more ideas i could try? thanks everyone.

Is it the starter solenoid that is clicking? If it is..... take a jumper cable connect one end to the battery positive post and touch the other end to the post on the starter relay where the starter power wire connects, then follow (A) or (B) as applicable.
(A) If the engine turns over good, the problem is the relay or the positive wire from the battery. Now connect the wire to the battery positive connection on the starter relay, turn the key and if the engine turns over good it is the battery positive wire if it doesnt turn over it is the relay.
(B) If the engine doesnt turn over the problem is either the starter power wire, the starter or a bad ground for the starter. So, connect one end of the jumper wire to the terminal on the starter where the power wire connects. Then touch the other end to the battery poisitve post... if the engine turns over good the problem is the starter power wire. If it doesnt turn over... try running a jumper cable from the negative post to the starter mounting bolt. If the engine turns over now it is a bad ground. Remove the starter and clean the mounting area and mounting bolts. If it still doesn't turn over.... get the starter bench tested to ensure it is good.
If the battery negative and positive wires, as well as the starter power wire are worn looking, meaaning corroded torn insulation etc etc, replace them with at least 6awg wires. They handle alot of current during starts and do wear out from being exposed to the weather and "road splash".
Good luck.
thanks for the info, it was the new starter i bought, it turned out to be a bad one, so i exchanged it for another, bolted it on and it fired right up. thanks again.
