Hello, I’ve been reading these forums for a long time now and now I’m at the point of making my own. I’ve got a 92 Flareside with the 5.8 and an E4OD. I just rebuilt the transmission and installed a transformer shift kit. But, I ran my obd codes after a failed attempted test drive where the truck fell flat on its face after shifting to second and not shifting to third. The KOEO loses I got were 311. 334, and 212. 311 and 334 I know are EGR codes, my EGR is “deleted”. And my KOER codes were still only 311 and 334. I got back to my shop and ran them again and got a 327 on the KOEO test as well as the other codes I’ve been getting.
Some of the symptoms I’m having are my tach cutting in and out from being where it’s supposed to be to reading at 2 k during idle. My voltage gauge just started to bounce this last drive and my CEL intermittently comes on and off as well and the not wanting to shift into third gear.
I actually replaced my pcm the last time I was having issues before my trans went out. I’m kind of leaning towards it being my torque converter with the rough idle inconsistent acceleration and not shifting. I’m not sure though. I don’t want to just keep throwing money at it though lol.
