So I have had a few issues driving the truck if I do not let it warm up. The truck won't shift at the right shift points, surges and bucks. After 5 minutes it drives fine. I have no check engine light on. I have used 3 scan tool on it and saw no stored codes.
A guy at work pulled his Edge CTS out of his truck and plugged it into my EX to see if there was anything going on. There were 3 stored codes: P0404 EGR position error, P0405 EGR voltage low, P132b turbo boost low.
I looked in my chilton's manual and in the tech folder here. The chilton's does not list the 0405 or 132b. The tech folder has a dead link in it.
So my question is what do i need to check and what is up with the stored codes? Shouldn't these have set a CEL? What is the key cycle count needed to clear stored codes?
I just had my plugged in to a ford tech computer that showed me P0404 and P0405 codes. Neither code gave me a CEL. I believe it has something to do with the flash version. My scangauge II does not even see these "soft" codes. Live data might help diagnosing the problem if you have a way of accessing a tool.
