Power Tailgate: Interior Tailgate Release Button
Are there specific conditions under which the tailgate release button functions (on a 2024 Larait Ultimate Package) ? Does the vehicle have to be in park, can it be running, etc...
I can really only get it to open with a double-press when the truck is turned off.

Truck stopped, in park, running is OK. And as long as nothing is in the way of the sensors.
I haven't got my F350 yet, but that's how it works on my 2022 F150 Lariat. Never had an issue.

Make sure the doors are unlocked and the truck is in park. It does not seem to matter if truck is running or not. I have also found out it will work after I open the door and double press as I am getting out.
I didn't think I would use this feature so much but the tailgate opens so slow it save some of the waiting for it to fully open
