Hey guys, im currently building a 306 for my f150. It has a 600cfm edelbrock, edelbrock performer rpm manifold, forged 30 over pistons/rods (got for free from my loyal machinist) and am using a E303 Cam, going to measure and order pushrod length last. Everything is coming along nicely, but i am wondering what valve springs/valve spring kit i should use for my stock e7te's? (i understand, i shouldve got gt40s or aftermarket, darn! ill do it in a year or so). I was looking at the TFS-2500100 kit but was told they were meant for gt40p's. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
E303 Cam Specs:
That is not a E303 cam, someone has misinformed you, E cam tops out at .498 lift with 1.6 rockers, and Ford Performance says you’ll need springs rated at a minimum pressure of 120 lbs. (closed) and 295 lbs. (open).
Ford Performance says you’ll need springs rated at a minimum pressure of 120 lbs. (closed) and 295 lbs. (open). Be aware any springs you buy may or may not be a direct swap even if they are meant for the stock heads, different locks and retainers, valve stem seals, shims, or even some machine work may be necessary.
I've posted this before but on the E7 style heads the real problem is the keeper groove location difference between the intake and the exhaust valves which is .100. What I do: I use two different retainers an Erson/PBM 502S on the intake and a 502 on the exhaust. Their 3100 spring drops right on the head with no machining because it is a single spring with a flat damper. Using a customer's cam that I ground for him giving .555 lift. I set it up at 1.770 installed height and that gave right at 130lbs seat with about 315lbs open load. They still miss coil bind by about .110.
If the installed height is increased to 1.800 the loads come down to about 120lbs seat and 290lbs open.

After reviewing the misinformation i do apologize. But i will be going with the ford M-6250-E303 camshaft. I will call them when they are available and ask for which recommended spring kits.
