i i was wondering do i need new rocker arms, pushrods, and valve springs for this cam? or can i use my stock ones? i have a 428 non CJ, with d2teaa heads on her. if you guys can help me out here id really appreciate it thankyou
That kit even includes positive-lock valve stem seals. Which means the spring seat and valve guide have to be machine to accept them and the big springs. With .530" lift, you're going to need to check clearances, valve spring bind, etc. And, because of the big lift, and the angle of the rocker arm to the valve stem at the fully compressed height, valve guides should be bronze.
At this point, it becomes a toss-up whether or not to go with Edelbrock heads instead of paying a machinist to do all that work.
Of course, you COULD go the cheapo-route - but you'll be opening it up again sooner rather than later
