Steering column Changes
I'm sure someone here will have the answer to this quickly.
Did the Steering column change between 79-83 on an automatic 2wd Ford F100?

Doesn't the 1979 and down column have the PRNDL2L1 on the column itself and not the dash? I would think the 1980-up columns are different, but I never compared them side by side.
P.S. I just looked up the ignition switch for a 1979 f150 and a 1980 f150 on rockauto. They have different part numbers.
