I know you said you're not really interested in swapping the boards out completely, but if all else fails, and you do decide that is the way to go, I went with the Aries Action Trac running boards. Retracted, they are 3" below the lip of the truck. When the other part drops down, it drops it another 8'. It really helped me and my wife over the OEM boards. I've had them on for two and a half or three years now, and they have been wonderful. It was a little work installing them, but not bad overall. Anyway, just a thought if you don't find anything for your OEM boards.
That looks like a good setup, especially if you have frequent guests in the rear seat. I think I found my solution as shown in an earlier post. There's very seldom anyone in the passenger seat, much less the rear seat for me. So I think the steps I have on order combined with the stock Tremor boards will do the job.
I just purchased a 24 F350 and have the standard steps that hang down low. I am looking to swap out to the Tremor brackets to raise them up. If your interested in swapping brackets let me know.
I found my solution. Plus, I can't go with no boards while brackets are crossing paths in the mail.
Fairway Ford's parts guy told me there is no Ford solution for lower brackets. He's usually very good so I don't know if he's off on this one or not. That's kind of what drove me away from a bracket swap in the first place. But thanks anyway!

I used F-150 CC running boards on my F-350 SC and they sit at the same height as Tremor running boards. I wanted my boards tucked in closer to the cab for ground clearance and I wanted them to run from the front fenders to a few inches past the start of the bed. I just need a step support for the bed area to be on the safe side in case a huge human wants something out of the bed by the cab. I've tested them to 275lbs and the boards did OK. Some people struggle to figure out how to use the running boards and fall out. 🙄
New steps are on. Still dark & rainy here at this early time of day so no pics. I don't care much for the hex head bolts sitting on top of the boards so I'll look for an Allen/bugle type head today to have the fasteners flush. But I think they're going to do the job just fine. Now it's just a question of swapping out the fasteners. The time consuming stuff is done.
The truck goes into the shop today for a rear parking sensor issue so I'll buy bolts in the meantime and address it when I get the truck back.
Taking the suggestion from the photo I posted in #3, this is what I ended up with. As stated earlier I did do away with the hex head bolts on top of the boards and replaced them with Allen socket flat heads. Then dabbed some black bed liner paint on top of them.
After the initial install I didn't like the distance between the step and the bottom of the running board. Seemed a little tight getting a boot into the stirrup. So I bought some 1 inch square tubing and made spacers to gain some room.
My truck really isn't scratched up like the photo appears. It's a reflection of the wife's vehicle sitting next to me.
