E40D issues
1994 5.0 E40D with push button 4x4
randomly hard shifts in every gear and only happens after 10-30 mins of driving shifts super hard going into second, pull over turn truck off and turn truck back on and the problem goes away and it may or may not happen again. no check engine light no LED's anywhere on the truck and 3rd brake light works.

The transmission will have codes stored, most likely it will be a torque converter code.
The hard shifts come from the computer when it sees a problem with the transmission, it sets the line pressure to max line to protect the transmission. Cycling the key resets the computer until it sees the issue again.
