I recently replaced my front fog lamps and pulled the front bumper whiile doing so. I wonder if I broke something while putting it back on.
Drove it fine for 2 days without issues. Went to start it after it was cold and no power steering functionality whatsoever. Braking is horrible as well.
I looked down on the ground and there is a large red orange puddle. It is leaking over the driver's side strut.
Kind of hard to see in this area of the engine bay.
Any starting point for this? Would you approach from the top for visibility....remove battery/airbox etc. From the bottom...remove passenger tire? Or underneath try to make sense of all of the spillage.....the thing is that fluid is everywhere so not so sure that would be super productive to observe from the bottom.
When the high pressure line blows off you will have no power steering. Pretty simple fix , most annoying part is getting to the lower end . Any auto parts store should have one, at least in my experience
As for your other questions, yes the pumps can go bad.
For bleeding procedure you can look in the tech folder in the steering section. I know the one titled Redhead steering box 2 lays out the bleeding procedure.
To bleed , start engine, turn wheel right and back left several times, NOT lock to lock. Keep eye on fluid reservoir and add as necessary. I've removed the return line on firewall at Booster to bleed when it seemed to not clear bubbles out.... stick the end in a clear bottle and watch for bubbles. Remember to use Mercon.
