My 2001 f150 was recently broken into and the anti theft system kept them from taking the truck. Unfortunately, they really messed it up and it doesn't start. The anti theft system is discontinued and I had to get a 2002 f150 steering column which the anti theft is different. I just need the wiring in order to get it up and running. This is what I have so far. The wiring is wrong here
Had to get? a 2002 column
Get a 2001 steering column at the junkyard and the wiring will be correct
A Spock mind meld for the wiring may take years to get figured out
Wait, maybe I was right. Power, ground, antenna wires. Find power and ground and the remaining two probably don't really matter which is which. They just transmit the frequency, no polarity.
Use your meter to find power and ground. Edit - it's not as simple as I write it to be, but you can probably figure things out with a meter.
Edit 2 - I don't think the link I had here had the correct image in it.

If the original transceiver is not damaged you could remove it, plug it in, and fasten a spare key close to it. You could probably even place it by the ignition switch and it would work. Ugly but should be effective.
What, SPECIFICALLY, was damaged/broken? The transceiver? The "system" had a number of parts in it.
FWIW, the colors of the wires to the transceiver are the same for 2000-2003, per schematics. Only thing that changed on the drawings was the reference number of the connector from C297 to C252. Have no idea whether the actual electronics in the transceiver changed.
