Lost Hub Cap - Locker replacement

hello let me begin by explaining my situation, one of my chrome locking hub caps fell off ... must have forgotten to Loctite it in my excitement to drive my rebuilt F350

now i placed a 4x4 auto cap over to keep the crap out of my locking hub assembly,

been researching alot on the 1999-2003 locking hubs and by the spline count inner and outer i believe it would fit in hub, ill order one amazon to test,

i wanted to know if anyone has ever tried fitting one on theirs ?

1999 hubs go for 60USD where as the OEM hub goes for 600$+

I'm pretty sure they're different. I have SD knuckles on my truck and I'm running Milemarker lockouts.

I remember some grief when getting my hubs. Obviously I got the parts for a 96, silly me has that bitten me on the rear with this truck. But mines a Centurion, it has its ups and downs. So pretty sure they wouldn't fit and I had to get the other model, which was listed for 99+ F350.

Are you dead set on getting OEM hubs? You can get a nice metal Warn or Milemarker set for cheaper then you posted

No those factory 99-04 hubs won't fit and they also suck so you wouldn't want them anyway, replace with Mile Marker or Warn hubs.

Been to more than enough junkyards to find the caps gone, or the truck has a Dana 50 and the cap doesn't fit, and a lot of people on eBay selling just the chrome cap 170$ Canadian
Market place people selling the full locker for New part prices

ill test this out on the truck see what happens might save me for the winter till i find an OEM style cap

i want to keep the truck looking Original

You're already modifying it be looking to use SD locking hubs on an OBS. You could always get a similar style set and powder coat them if the colors off.

Here's a new OEM on on ebay for $62https://www.ebay.com/itm/17609872525...is&media=EMAIL

Dana 50 vs 60 doesn’t matter, same hub lock. The oem are made by warn. The premium warn hubs with brass selector can be a real pain to turn in the cold.

Theres a few complete oem hub locks on eBay. As above, SD ones won’t work, and those early styles are terrible anyway.
