Can someone tell me what this switch on the proportioning valve on a 1977 f100 is called
Its leaking and want to replace it but I do not know what to look for
It’s called the pressure differential switch I believe.
It sets off a light in the dash when pressure drops in either the front or back circuits.
Moves the shuttle inside the proportioning valve and trips the switch. Are you sure the switch is bad, they get replaced a lot, but aren’t always the problem.
Is your light on constantly? If so, make sure it’s the switch, and not the circuit, or the shuttle in the valve.
Or even more importantly, a leak in the system!
