Evening Steve, I need to do a lot of trimming around the yard, getting a little tall in places. With all the rain we've been having the flies are thick up here so cutting the grass isn't my favourite thing to do lately..

I can see where that would be a problem.. A friend of mine used to go to Canada to fish every year and told me horror stories about the black flies..

Some years are worse than others, when we get a lot of rain they breed like mad. I don't like using bug spray either but I may have to give in then shower as soon as I come in..

I killed quite a few mosquitoes today, spruce bugs were really thick in Dryden today. The black flies are bad while mowing the grass, usually a cloud of them buzzing around your head..

I haven't been , I have one and might have to start wearing it while cutting the grass unless things improve..

I usually end up mowing in high gear then bitch about how bad the flies were when I come in...lol

I mow in slow speed because I am letting it grow a bit more since the lack of rain.. Tuesday there is a 40% chance of rain..

I don't worry much about my lawn anymore now that it is mostly weeds, once it's mowed down it don't look so bad from the street..

my yard is weeds as well.. But better than mud.. I did overseed some areas with fescue and that looks good..

I thought of reseeding my yard a couple times but the wife says why bother so I listen to her wisdom...lol
