Wouldn't mind them that way as much, if on a black or antimatter blue (which looks black in the sunlight) truck.
I'd like them just so I won't have to spend time cleaning a step I can never use again with a cap.
I think those look decent. Not bad figment from what I can tell on the pictures. Sure they would look better painted. Personally I don’t like the steps but I’m trying to. I just don’t like the copy cat aspect from GM. If you have a cover I can see why you’d delete the steps.
Just keeping the open steps looks better than a black cover, IMO. If you have to cover them (and I don’t see why you would, even with a bed cover, you will still need access to the side of the bed) you should have them painted to match.
it matched the black theme down the side of the truck, running boards, black wheels , dark tinted windows. I guess I should take a picture of the whole truck.
Thanks for yall thoughts, I can always paint them the body color later. They are painted with a bed liner type spray, very light coatings, has a minor rough feel to them. We will see what the exposure to the elements do to them.
