Push button start question
Has anyone ever looked into converting the “switch blade” type key to a push button start with a fob style.
I was just curious. Thanks for any thoughts or ideas. BTW I have a 2022 f250 lariat with remote start.

Times two. I would be very interested in knowing if this is possible. I've already added adaptive cruise control and LED headlights to my 2022 Lariat. The push button start and touch door handles was the third major thing I wasn't able to get when I ordered my truck because it is a Super Cab.

You could try these guys for the push button start.

I remembered a thread about converting to push button start a few years back. Somebody did it and the kit included a cover to hide the key switch which remained functional for emergencies. I couldn’t find that thread but ran across the outfit avowed while searching…

I remember I bought my first RAM in 2012 after the local ford dealer wouldn't deal with me unless I bought an eco-boost. The RAM was push button start, which seemed strange to me as I'm slow to change but I actually couldn't really find a legit reason not to like it. Now 11 yrs later Ford guys are saying how my 2020 F-250 is cheap and old fashioned because it doesn't have push button start! In fact some are complaining the "cheap" xl, xlt and Lariats (which not long ago was the premiere model) are key start! Some even wanting to convert them to push button!! The times they are a changing!!! Personally I find it no huge pain or dis-advabntage to stick the key in my ignition to start this "cheap" XLT!!

They weren't too concerned about theft back then I guess....like I said, the times they are a changing.

I always thought the switchblade key was kinda cool. And no, never had any trouble finding the hole.
