Can someone tell me if this is the wire for the choke? I’m pretty sure it is, it had a factory Holley on it before. I turned the key on to check it with a test light, and the light blinks.
Definitely check out the link that Max Cap provided. That said, I'm not sure why the test light would blink. Power to the electric choke should be a constant voltage with the key on.

Most factory chokes only have power after the engine is running. On the electric assist chokes this came from the stator terminal on the alternator. On some of the computerized carb setups, they had a relay triggered by the computer. GM usually used a oil pressure switch for the same function.
A blinking voltage is going to be a wire for the temp gauge sensor or the oil pressure gauge sensor.
Thanks guys that website is unbelievable. Franklin thank you that makes sense, and it’s the right length to the oil sending unit. I took pictures before I took it apart and there was so much pollution junk on there I couldn’t see it.
As said blinking is 1 of 2 things oil or temp gauge.
What gauges dont work?
To test ground that wire, turn the key on to run and see what gauge now moves.
DO NOT have power on like this for to long as you can hurt the gauge.
What ever gauge moves thats what the wire goes to.
If on the sender and it dose not work the sender could be bad.

Thanks Dave, I installed mechanical gauges so I’m not using the factory wires. There should have been a factory wire for the choke? I’m not seeing one.
Yes the 300 uses the "S" wire from the ALT to the choke cap.
It should also have metal tubes to the exh. manifold for hot air asst.
If either one is not working the choke will not work right.
BTW that S wire should only have around 6 volts on it with motor running.
