electric choke wire???

Exclamation electric choke wire???

ok,i took all the eec stuff out and now i cant find my electric choke wire,i need to know where it is and if it went out with the harness and if so wut can i hook the electric choke up to
,thx

the wire goes from the alt (stator terminal i believe) straight to the choke, one wire. mine has a grey connector in the center of the wire. its between 2-3ft long.

Too many threads after the fact
It gets confusing

I already answered your choke wire question in the carb thread before you posted this thread.

I have vacuum digrams.

there is like three vac things on the carb not including the egr ,where do these three vac lines come from thx,and sorry if i offended you on my dumb question

Do you have guages or idiot lights?


WITH Guages:

White/Black wire comes off the stator terminal of the altenator, and goes to the choke. It's protected by a 20GA inline fuse link.

WITH Idiot Lights:

White/Black wire comes off the stator terminal of the altenator, and goes to the voltage regulator, it either splits off from the connector there or before it reaches the voltage regulator. From the split it goes to the electric choke. Protected by a 20ga inline fuse link.

You didn't offend me Goth Trucker. & it wasn;t a dumb question/.

It was repeated question in "another" thread.

I merely stated I answered you choke question where you originally asked it.

Then you posted a special thread for it and added another question.

We like everything to be kept together so it is easier for people to follow along rather than going thru numerous threads to get all the info.

That's all

Those vacuum lines can go to many things .

Is there a sticker on the valve cover with a bunch of numbers on it ?

That will tell me which vacuum diagram you require (There are many different ones)

ok,well the carb is off a 75 150 its a stock unit thats why i need to know cause i got rid of all emisiions and computer feed back,i need to know where each vac lines come from.thx ya'll

Ok, well.. I need the info off the valve cover sticker.

You haven't mentioned what engine this is yet.

I have 55 pages of different diagrams JUST for the 302 engine.

There should be a sticker on one of the valve covers with a bunch of numbers on it.

I need the info off that.

there isnt a sticker on the valve cover, i just need to know where the lines come from,i know one from the dist,idk which place it goes but i do know one from there then i have this metel tube with red tube on it i know where that goes but there is one more vac line hook up,wut is it

its just a simple carter one barrel,on the driver side of the carb there is a vac line thing about mid way on the body then on the passenger side there is one on the base

What is the part number on the Carb?


You will have to understand Carter made 1000's of different YF, or YFA one barrel carbs.

We just can't tell you what the ports are for on the carb you have. We don't know, because they change with each revision.


If I was to hazard a guess, the port on the driver side could be for the choke pulldown diaphram or (WOT) wide open throttle vacuum switch.

The port on the passenger side could be for the vacuum advance or EGR.


But the odds of me being wrong in the above statement is about 500 to 1.

That's why we need something more to go on, or it's just trial and error, until you find out which works for what.
