UPDATE: I figured out the problem. The new distributor rotor looked the same and it was the one it called for the new distributor cap. Everything I tested said the distributor was the issue. I decided to measure the new rotor to the old one. The new rotor didn't sit as low as the old one. I put the old rotor in and it fired right up. Parked for 20-years and now it has a new life. Thank goodness. Master cylinder is leaking but that's okay, it's all being replaced anyhow. I've done the heads timing chain pump etc. now onto the brakes.

Thanks again for the responses.
