oh I know exactly how you feel. its an awkward fit for one arm and the engine hook doesnt help...

Did you try and spin the solenoid arm out so its as close to the valve arm as possible? This way when it retracts it doesnt pull free?

EBPV arm with engine good and hot and running after a 20 mile drive at Mach 0.045.

This looks no different than with engine cold with key off. Need to check for when engine cold and just started.

Apparently I messed up the turbo installation because more oil than ever is seeping down the back of the engine from the valley. Either that or the OEM valve covers are leaking. I have new RiffRaff billet units at the ready.

This guy thinks he is a gift to mankind. I'm willing to entertain his use of RTV ultra grey under the o-rings. What do you all think?

RTV on gaskets and Orings is a terrible idea, and should not be followed. Great way to plug up oil passages and make a huge mess for the future.

Does that mean he'll show up with tools and beer to fix whatever his endorsement has caused?

Have you verified the o rings as the source? Before I jumped into that job again I'd want to know I'm in the right place.

Ive looked and looked...even used a snake video camera....I think its the back of the driver's side intake plenums but its virtually impossible to pinpoint without taking the turbo off and must take off turbo to install RiffRaff billet plenums anyway (which use a gasket and not RTV) so will R&R the o rings while I have the turbo off.

Im dreading this. I changed every o-ring back there when I did the turbo and resealed the intake plenums and then this leak I bet I didn't seal the plenums well enough with RTV. Used too little perhaps. I hate RTV.

If you've got oil hemorrhaging from an intake plenum then you might want to start shopping for a new motor. Your 100% sure it is oil right? There are fuel ports on the back lip of each head. Now that I think there's the hpop end plugs in that neighborhood also.

I don't know where the oil is coming from. My guess is its engine and not fuel. Me thinks it would smell more if it was diesel.

All oil ports had new o rings put on when I did the turbo install. My guess it its the back of the turbo pedestal...but I just cannot see very well back there. Stuff needs to come off.

Alternate o -rings?....I got mine from RiffRaff with turbo reinstall kit that includes 4 o-rings and bolts.

One guy in that other thread advocated for another round of torquing the bolts! Just make it tighter..problem is I dont know whats leaking.

Interesting design.
