Broken boss

I'm in the process of installing the bell housing. While torqueing the 6 bolts that hold it to the block, the lower right boss cracked in half and fell off. The flange is still on the block, just the raised threaded portion broke in half. This is in my '64 F250 that had a 390 swapped into it.
Do I worry about it? This truck doesn't get a lot of use.

Would it be possible to use a longer bolt and put a nut on the back side?

I'm not sure. It's the one below the starter. There isn't much room and it runs along the side the block. Maybe if I drill out the threads and am able to keep the broken piece in place, as a spacer.

The easiest and best way to repair the block would be to braze up a new boss and then redrill and tap a new bolt hole in the right location.

It'll be fine. Unless it was cracked before hand it shouldn't have broke though, you sure everything is drawing together flat? That would be my only concern

All the bolts do is hold the block and bellhousing together - so long as the dowels are in place on either side there won't be any alignment issues.
