C70 = C700 gas
B = 300 1V six in line gas engine
U = Louisville Assembly Plant
838605 = 1966 numerical series, March 1966 production
175 = 175 inch wheelbase
No color code--note the truck is a special order and color is often the reason
C700 = C700 gas, 24,000 lbs GVWR

6 = Black Vinyl
91 = Tilt cab
L = For this model year and weight, 3 transmissions show under this code. You'll have to eyeball it--the case will have numbers etc cast into it, and it may have a tag riveted to it.
