Rear end swap

Need to with would.be better I have a 1998 ford f150 v6 2wd it curntley has a 3.08 rear end and I wanting to go with a 3.55 will.this give little better mpg while towing heavy load I get about 8 to 10 right but I have now high in turge

it may, or may not. it will give you a bit more towing grunt.

A 4.2 v6 with manual transmission is rated for 2,000# max capacity.

Let’s not go overboard with “heavy load” or your transmission (the reason for the low rating is the input shaft) will thank you in a bad way.
