Heard it was mostly for DI engines, but then also suggested with low tension piston rings (and lower weight oils),
particulates could be higher due to burning more oil (these days). Not sure if Godzilla has rings like that, as it seems to
prioritize long life over absolute max power/mileage.
Have not seen anything about it on US 24 Coyotes, but Europe had had a version of it for a long time.
I think the new Stang 5.0 over there is only 449 HP. partially due to GPF
they are if they haven't yet about to take control of your vehicles, GPF is the least of your worries.
Wait till they disable your car because it matched a description..
These have been in Europe for awhile. They are easy to remove on Porsche's equipped w/ them in the USA, but you may need a way to defeat the CEL after it's removed depending on how they configure it.
Three states (CT, MA, and RI) that ive got trucks registered in dont do an emission test for vehicles over 8500lbs but all the emissions components have to be present even if not functioning. Of course some shops overlook things but its getting harder and harder to find a shop that will put an inspection sticker on a deleted vehicle.
Great, now I will have to delete my gas trucks too…
luckily no emissions testing in Canada but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time. Hopefully when it does come it’s a provincial thing and not federal as here in Alberta we will fight it for as long as possible.
As far as the removal of emission controls and testing could it already be happening? All kinds of info is being collected and store on these trucks. With all the connected vehicles utilizing AT&T network there is no need to take your trucks into a shop to have your emission tests. Ford can make your truck uploaded all that to the government cloud right now.
Modifications in the near future will be impossible. One day a modification to a regulated system will be immediately detected then reported to the government, the motor will be disabled on the sport and some wonderful agency will dispatch agents to your GPS location.
