I’ve been following this thread since you started it… Any updates for us?
My last trip to the dealership, a few weeks ago, was to test drive a new truck to compare. I did not call ahead of time and the mechanic said he did not get a chance to pull a new truck from the lot, whatever that means. We did test drive a very similar truck to mine that belongs to the first mechanic who worked on my truck. The mechanic's truck had around 8000 miles on the odometer and made the exact same clunk as mine after rolling forward a few feet. The mechanic offered possible theories as to what the noise was but absolutely no definite explanation. He took my number and was supposed to contact me with possible solutions but I haven't heard from him yet. I left feeling somehow better but I am still not convinced this is normal. For now I have been just putting up with the noises. The clunks have not gotten any worse in intensity but possibly more frequent. I am however constantly listening for it and I am very "in tune" for what to expect so maybe I am just noticing it more. Not sure if there is anything to this but during the recent cold spell we had here in Texas, the clunks were almost nonexistent during the coldest of mornings and evenings. I apologize for not posting this sooner.
Don’t recall hearing about the yoke clunk issue when there were grease zirks in the yoke. If I had the issue, I’d consider putting a zirk in and a recess in the male part of the yoke so the grease can flow around to all the splines.
At this point I am fairly certain that the clunk on my truck is not coming from the yoke.
Well maybe if not normal it is at least somewhat common. Does it bother you as much as it does me? Haha.
A little, but I only have 300 miles on it so far. I did notice my 2018 had a one piece aluminum driveshaft, and this ‘24 has a 2-piece steel shaft. Same exact SCLB and wheelbase trucks

I'm not a fan of those 2 piece drive shafts. My 05 had one that required to be packed with grease from time to time.
Dude, you have the same noise I have. It's annoying as hell. My dealer also was no help and just said it was good to have it on record and blah blah. It's exactly as you describe too. You reverse from the driveway and put it in D to go forward and instantly a clunk. I tried the slip yolk grease, and nothing. And like you it also feels like it's in the front but with these aluminum bodies not very good at sound dampening, who knows. At one point, I thought maybe it was the trackbar shifting back into place when you straighten the wheels to go forward. I will see once I put my Leveling Kit with the Carli Track bar if that is it.

Keep us posted with your results. Good luck! Mine will make the noise without turning the wheels or even without reversing when leaving a through parking spot.
I found 4 TSB’s that pertain to this issue. Bring them up for reference to your service guy. I’m going to do this as well. Double check the years .SSM 51649, SSM 50955, SSM 50261
This one is most pertinent to your issue, but it was on 20-22 trucks.
TSB 22-2087

Thanks for the info! They have performed the accelerated break in on the valve body (no change) but I will certainly bring these up next time I am there.
First time to join. I'm a rookie. My 2024 Ford F-250 King Ranch with 7k miles has the exact same two clunks every time I back it out of the driveway and go forward. Irritates me every day. I had it at the dealership for over 10 days and they did nothing but a reset. I'm sure they did not do the driving part of the reset procedure. I'm ready to get rid of this high dollar truck and find something different. If anyone out there can give me any advice or ideas on what to ask the dealership to check, or has the same problem I would appreciate the feedback.
