Howdy gentleman,
First post. Stuck here in South Texas lol. Came to pick up 6.0 number 2 and so far no good.. But not terrible. 34,000 miles. 3,000 hrs. Service truck. F550. No numbers because I don't have my cord to my sct. Fully stock. No changes too the engine.
Cranks up, idles great. Backs up fine, rolls forward fine. If you get into the throttle it holds the gear until you let off then it will change.
while in throttle it will slowly pick up rpms and then fall flat for a half a second and then try to pick back up again.. In between that it barks bad.. when you let off throttle it barks as well.. has a wierd turbo sound as well.. more like a whine instead of a whistle but you can hear the whistle slightly.
Here sitting beside it because I have knowhere else to be lol, I may be a texas resident soon if this isn't fixed lol. Has 0 blow by. Brought to part store and no codes beside a abs light that came on while I was headed up there

It is not going to be possible to diagnose with any confidence without a good scan tool and code reader.
Sounds like it easily could be a stuck turbo.
That said, try disconnecting the EBP sensor and the ICP sensor to see if that helps any.
Also, look for CAC leaks, MAP sensor hose leaks, plugged up MAP sensor hose or plugged nipple (for the MAP sensor hose) on the intake manifold.
If you are going to own 6.0L's, you need a good scan tool - ForScan Lite is the best ( AND the best value), unless you get the full version of it on a laptop.
A MacAllen dealership should be able to help you, but that is a tow bill I guess.
