Thought about the block heater on the Diesel, but at 27*F this morning the 6.0 fired right up. Jack Frost really left his calling card around the neighborhood.
Pick N Pull came out yesterday morning and took away the donor truck. So, now I am down to one non running vehicle instead of two. LOL They arrived at 9am and had to wait for the mechanics to remove the bumper, and wheels for the keeper truck. Something they told me would be done a week ago. Finally found someone lazier than me. I took the Melling's HV oil pump over there, but the mechanic didn't want to install it on my original engine. He suggested getting the one from his brother/friend for $1,300. I told him I agree, but don't have $1,300. I am still paying off the SNAP loan of $1,200. That was before I checked my mail and found two credit card offers. Bother of them are the pay us first" kind where they have an annual fee as well as a monthly fee. Monthly fee doesn't start until the second year though, so only the annual fee I pay up front. One of them offered a $1,000 limit, so I chose that one and threw the other one away. So, in a couple of weeks I will be able to buy that $1,300 engine using the $328 from the donor truck sale, and this new credit card.
It's not any harder. It's not more work. It's just like everything else in life, where some woman wants things and expects you to provide. She could easily do it herself, without ever asking me to do it.
Today was supposed to be a work from home day, but………
PG&E had a major outage about 8:30 this morning with a 4-5 hour estimate for restoration. So…off to the office.
They got our house reenergised by the 4 hour mark, but coming home the store on the corner was still dark.
PG&E rates are going up. Nobody is happy about it. Outrage. The rates are regulated by the California PUC. Ca PUC Commissioners are appointed by The Governor.
The bigger picture is a that in the real world, even if we vote in a different Governor, we will not get a new Commission who will lower the rates.
