That is a bummer, but I am not surprised, Last couple times I tried to use them they didn't have what I needed in stock. But yes, their catalogs were educational. Lots of times you could learn how something was sposta fit by using descriptions from their catalog, even when the service manual didn't have instructions... Well if they have the upside down seals for the running boards I've been looking at I'm gonna order them...
It's not surprising, the decline has been noticed for the last several years especially at the supernats and grand national shows. They used to be the foundation of the Super Nationals for many years going back into the 90s
I was just looking through all the items that was listed as on sale with the link BJ provided. Not really much for 53 thru 56 trucks. Who knows, maybe my phone didn't load it all. Or maybe they will discount more things in the future. But there are many things for 48-52's and even parts for 57 and up trucks, which I didn't know they were selling parts for 57's +.

I saw the same thing. Not much for the 53-56.
They also had several parts for 67-72 Fords.
You northerners really get the shaft on shipping. And seeing how 99% of hot rodding stuff comes from the states.....I just don't know how non americans keep up with american hot rodding hobbies. Gotta make sure all them fenders and weatherstripping don't have drugs and bombs.......
Like others I also have used them over the 20 or so years for many parts but last year when I was finishing my truck they didn't have too much I needed so I went to another vender and got what I needed. Sad to see them close
Handwriting was on the wall for some time now. You really have to have a passion for what you are doing to make a small business thrive...Sy had it and Diane as well but the next gen not so much. They had a great run and I thank them for doing what they did for so many years.

My dads cousin built a recycling company from nothing in the 70's, he didn't become filthy rich, but sure was well-off. Apparently his brother in law was last running it. His three kids really didn't want it. Not sure what happened to it.
I have used them many times over the years. Always with fairly good luck, but have had to return some items. When I visited their Golden Valley, AZ shop last, they had a large fenced back lot with a lot of 53--56 F100 scrap and used parts that would be worth looking over for collectors of recyclable F100 parts..
Their supply and shipping costs were the major part of the problem imho .
I sell and ship stuff everyday. Shipping is what shipping is. Shipping costs have increased astronomically. Also the fairy godmother doesn't supply the box, packing and tape. Not to mention time invested to sometimes make a box and drop off at the shipper
there is a lot involved. There us no such thing as free shipping When they offer free shipping it's just absorbed somewhere else.
...and we all know why shipping costs are what they are--and we know too that they do not have to be as high as they are. Elections have consequences. We get what we vote for.
I hate to hear they are going under, they've always been so helpful and nice folks. I ordered many parts from them when I was building my truck, but haven't done any business lately.
