Computer diagnostic software
I remember reading about some software you can plug in to your truck and I think read codes and maybe change parameters? I have a 2004 expedition with the 5.4 l. I kind of remember the software was called F something. I'm wondering if it's free, where I can get it and if it interfaces with the diagnostic port to USB? Will it read and clear trouble codes? Can you view real time data? Any help would be appreciated thank you.

It's called Forscan. You can download it free at www.forscan.org. If you want to be able to change parameters you'll need to buy a license, but the license is very inexpensive. You'll need an adaptor to plug into the OBDII port. Their page shows how to select one. I bought mine from Amazon for less than $30.
