Momentum 350, 40 feet long, 16,850 GVWR, a little less than 14K actual weight.
Booger was that it has a big 7.5 KW generator up front, combo of that and a big empty back end, made it way nose heavy.
Not sure what the pin weight is, but had my truck bouncing off the bump stops, rough roads were no fun.

F-250........

No, zero powertrain issues, pulled it as hard and fast as I would ever want to go. Set the CC on 70-72 on the interstate and rolled on just fine.
what's your payload rating?

Not something I worry about.
Truck was not over its tire load rating, all I care about.

Your wheels might have a lower load rating than your tires do, I think mine does.

How did you determine that the truck was not over its tire load rating?

Did you have the combination weighed on a multi-platform scale to obtain weights, as loaded, for steer, drive, and trailer axles?

Are you basing the load on your rear tires from the scale reading for the drive axle?

Or are you basing the load on your rear tires from a presumed percentage estimation of trailer pin weight based on an assumed trailer weight?

If the latter, then how did you determine the tare weight of the rear axle prior to adding the presumed percentage of pin weight?

Yeah that seems to be the case for me too. My 18 aluminum rims are rated at 3,590# a pop, which is under the load rating 125 tires I have (3,638#), which of course is still above my GAWR of 6,340lbs for my F250.

Its only a F250. What did you expect?
What does the door jam sticker allow you for a total pin weight?

Doesn't he haul commercially? I'd pay attention to the doorjam.

Sticker doesn't "allow" anything, it states the manufacturer suggested rating, that is not law, it is not an allowance, it is a suggestion.
The only "law" associated with weight for my truck is its Texas registration weight, which is 26,000 pounds gross.

The yellow sticker looks pretty, otherwise meaningless.

We've been through this a number of times. axle ratings, tire ratings, registered weight at where it counts.

Well sure, but he didn't say he weighed it.

He's got enough miles under his belt that he doesn't need to weigh every load.

I’m curious, I’m assuming you have to pay your registration based on the weights you register with your state?

Are the registration fees the same for an F250, F350 if they are registered for the same weight?

If so, why not just get an F350 for the extra few hundred dollars and then have a truck that is ‘suggested’ by Ford to haul more weight?
