And in reponse to all of this, I have received calls today from people upset that I have provided this information, Just because the truck has an early build date does not mean that it WILL have problems, Just look at Tim larkins truck, it runs fine. If your truck has a driveability issue get it looked at! Not all the trucks run badly and if it does there are ways of dealing with it. I will not post any further help if this is not understood.....The late trucks with the "good" program and injectors will have problems also, I guarantee it. That is why every Ford dealer has and will keep a service department....

Thanks goodness for not hydro locking it can be a real bummer.
As for the miss then I have no problem, this truck not burped wrong at all.
I am just hoping it will not.
Do you leave the injectors alone then?
yep.... Tim, chances are that you will have years of trouble free service from this truck as long as you take care of it. Please dont worry when it's not needed. Life is stressful enough...
Andy, Is it possible that the build date on my truck is 7/03 and the engine build date is 23 july 03, also I tried to find the white cap on the fuel injectors, the caps on mine are black with these numbers, 086-0068-000, 0322-062 are these the right #'s and is there problems with these injectors. Thanks for all your info.

Ken,
Sorry. I was unaware that the SOB's fired him for helping. Knew they shut him up, but nothing else. I appologise for brining him up. Was frequenting another site for a while.
Tim,
As I stated. There is nothing to worry about unless you see a problem. As I said, I could have one, and I have the C95 injectors. I am sure there were those with the 7.3 that had similar problems. Perhaps not as high a rate, but none the less there.
Andy, just was pointing out something I found. Was not saying that he would have problems, just that it was a greater chance(meaning watch your oil more closely) I hope that you are not in trouble for helping.
IF ford and International were doing it right, there should have been someone from the corporate offices here, telling the truth and trying to help. Would have made better public relations, than us finding out that someone who was helping gets in trouble. REALLY MAKES PEOPLE THINK THERE IS SOMETHING TO HIDE. FORD I HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS!

Lariat, could not agree more with this statement. I cannot speak for Ford, nor would I want to, but I can just about guarantee that if there was someone participating from “Corporate” there could be some culpability, and maybe just plain legal issues past culpability. It would be great for public relations and man could they learn allot………………….but
Hi Tim,
TheDeiselStop.com
You are probably right about the culpability, but legal issues? I think that the legal issues, if there are some, could be worked around. Definately would be worth the investment, in both better satisfied customers and return business.

Andy
I know this is off topic, but do you know if there is a difference in the wiring from a 2003 in dash radio system to the 04? I have been told that they changed, even though the radios look alike. I have a fella on the line for an 04 6 CD changer, cuz mine didn't have one(did a dealer earch, and it had everything else, so...) Hope that is not a problem to tell this.
No way to tell.... Could have 10 trucks with 10 different wire harness's. Best bet is to find out where '04 mounted and look in yours to see if the connections are there...
Andy,
No sir, I mean the in dash 6 cd changer with AM/FM radio. Mine came with the AM/FM Casette Single CD deck. Was told that the plugs on the back of this have changed. I could be wrong, but the wiring harness for the in dash shou be the same for them all. Just think there was a change to the 04.
