I am completely overhauling the steering on the 1979 F250 non-tilt 4wd plow truck. Looking for a replacement rod/shaft that the steering wheel bolts onto.
It is about 32 7/8” long. The splines are well worn at the bottom end and since I have new lower/intermediate shaft and Redhead box feel I should replace this as well. if I can find one.
I have a newly rebuilt steering column that is all assembled and ready to go. It is complete with the part (rod) that you need. Powder coated in medium gloss black. Complete with everything but the steering wheel. Text me at 952-843-8439 if you are interested.
Not to under cut you thopper67, but the OP is looking for just the inner shaft. labdad32 I have two 78/79 none tilt 4wd F250 "spare parts" steering columns in my parts shed. And I will insp both spline ends and threads to be 100%, and then take either one apart and get it you way.
