divorced transfer case in 1986 f-150 4x4
I’m currently working doing a 460 swap on on my 1986 f-50, I was wondering if it matters too much to put in a divorced t case or should I try and find a normal one. I’m going to swap in a c6. I found a great deal on a c6 with a divorced t case on it that directly attached to the trans. Would it be possible to just put that in I know sometimes the t case is mounted to the frame on the divorces ones. Any info will be helpful! Thank you!

Maybe I’m wrong. I believed a regular transfer case mounts to the rear of the transmission and then has a cross member it bolts to.
a divorced transfer case is not connected or bolted to the transmission. It is “divorced” and there is a driveshaft between the transmission and the transfer case, and transfer case is still bolted to a cross member
