2004 Ford Excursion problem

My Dad’s excursion is having a terrible time starting, and his oil pressure gauge will drop at idle, so I know the engine is oil pressure activated, he replaced the oil pressure sensor, but that wasn’t the problem. If anyone has had the same problem or has insight, I would be happy to hear your suggestions.

Would help if you'd provide more details...... Which engine ? mileage? past problems or repairs ?

6.7 powerstroke, 185000 miles, replaced alternator, but no other problems

You have a highly modified truck. Ford never put the 6.7L in the Excursion, so you should find the person that put this in that truck to diagnose what's wrong.

sorry I meant to say its a 6.0 engine
