Just got my first check engine light on my 2019 Lariat 6.7 with 55k miles on it. It had a very brief stumble when starting a couple days ago almost like the batteries were weak. Got this message on the App when I started it to go home from work that same day. I put a new air filter in. Old one was dirty but certainly not restricted. Will I need to use Forscan to reset the light and what else might have caused this warning? Truck is running fine and fuel filters were changed during last oil change also.
That message doesn't tell us anything, we need to know the code.
Forscan is not needed to clear the code, just a good scan tool, but you don't want to clear it before letting us know what it is.
P0170, fuel trim (bank 1). I watched a good troubleshooting video where it was traced to a MAS with high kHz readings at high rpm. He also spoke about checking the cold side charge pipe. We’ll, mine had a one inch tear in it and the clamp was loose on the engine side. Got it taped up for now until the new one arrives and I cleaned my mass airflow sensor. Just have to get the light reset to see if it stays cleared.
Check engine light went out on its own on a drive this morning so I suggest anyone getting this code check the MAS and turbo inlet pipe. From what I’m seeing now, the pipes have a high fault rate.

Yeah, up through 2019, all piping changed in 2020 with the updated engine.
