Low battery can do some strange things on these trucks.
I did have NOx sensor go back and it was replaced. That was within the first two years of ownership. Last year I had a similar error pop up but it was resolved with a software update to the system, covered under some Ford program.

I hade the same error code. Took it to the dealer and they had to replace a wiring harenss. Cost about $1200. I could tell the difference after the fix with take off and fuel economy
