How can I test IAC?
I suspect my IAC is slowly going out. Cleaned it a few months ago, since it used to start up almost die and lope cold on high idle. Its issues went away after cleaning, and it was fine till the past month, very rarely it’ll do the same thing cold it’ll start up, almost die and lope a bit. It’s not a constant issue or urgent right now but I want to test it. I’m doing an oil change soon, when I do I’ll run the AMSOIL power foam through the intake, and clean out carbon in the engine a bit.

Mine on the 4.9 was stuck in closed position. I used carb cleaner and 12V repeatedly to unstick and clean it out. Seems fine thus far, now other issues amiss for a truck that sat for 15 years.
