i installed the volumizer module, 0-50-100hp, 4" cat-back, and an air-raid system. truck has tons of power but tranny won't shift fast enough, i'm hitting the rev limiter before the tranny shifts. are there any mods for the trannys yet?
I've got a volumizer on mine. I hate to tell you this but the transmission never fully gets the hang of it with this product. I’m about 8000 miles into mine. YOU will, however, get the hang of not putting your foot all the way down in the +110 setting. I find the best results are about 50-65% pedal.
One word of caution: If you don’t have a pre-turbo pyrometer, be very frugal with your application of extreme power. My EGT will shoot right past 1400 if I let it. That’s WAY too hot for the turbo and exhaust valves. Dragging off the line, you have to feather the throttle back when you get around 70 MPH or you will go into a temperature danger zone. Now granted, I’m giving you this advice not knowing what intake/exhaust mods you have made or even what final gear ration your truck has. The best thing you can do is spend a little more money and get a gauge.
While I’m on the subject, I purchased a dual-gauge pod and put a pyrometer and boost gauge in it. The boost is fun to watch but it doesn’t govern how you drive. You might consider this before you invest in a pod. To do over again, I’d either put a single gauge in the dash instead of an A-pillar pod or buy a new Juice/Attitude package. Although, I am not unhappy with my volumizer.
