There are alot of holes, from the factory, on the Drivers Side inner fender panel. What were they used for ? I know some of them are for radiator support, either 6 Cylinder or V8, but there are lots more, between the radiator support and the front of inner panel. I would like to close them up if they serve no useful purpose. '48-50 F1. Thank you .
posting a picture would go a long ways towards helping you.
I could send a picture to someone on their phone. However, to put them on this site...... you could give me the winning Powerball numbers, and I couldn't do it ! Most complicated instructions I've ever seen.
Inner front fenders had removable panels to access the engine for valve adjustments....maybe you're missing the panels?
I don't know what truck you are looking at, but there ain't nothing close to what you're describing. There's one removable panel on the P/S, and that's all the way at the bottom of the inner panel. The only way you'd be anywhere NEAR those valves is if the engine was put in upside down !
There are a lot of extra holes on both inner fender panels since the one part was used for many different applications. There are 3 sets of radiator support location holes, horn mount holes, grille mounting holes, plus the upper and lower panels, and probably a few others I don't remember. Trying to fill them may be a fools errand, as the heat from welding may warp the panels and make them look worse than leaving the holes. Be careful.

It's really quite simple Larry. If you have a picture on your phone, it's even easier. See this photograph icon at the top of the "Reply to Thread" box. It looks like a mountain with sky and sun. Click on it.
Then follow the directions.

Thank you for the great picture !!!! The holes I'm talking about are the ones to the right of the radiator/support mounts Thanks again.
Those are horn mount holes. I think they are used dependent on which position the rad support is in. You really can't see them once the horn and radiator is in the way. Here's what it looks like, for effect, on my yard art.

I see what your talking about. I don’t have a truck in your year range but my 1955 had several holes on the inner engine panel and wheel inner fender. I just went thru all four of my wheel wells. And installed what I thought would tighten up and properly secure the front mostly lots of hardware missing. I am an aircraft mechanic by trade so I used a poly fiber dollar patches to cover the unused holes. Using poly tac glue. Worked great, and when painted black you can’t tell the difference. I know it’s funky but better than welding and warping the panel plus’s all the grinding. Easy easy.AJ.
