What the heck is the panel attached to the inside of the front fender where the fender mounts to the cab called? Searching for doohickey and whatchamacallit didn't work......

There is a vertical panel that is (I assume) spot welded to the inside of the fender. This panel has the threaded studs that bolt to the cab in front of the doors.

The bottom of my doors as well as the bottom of this panel are rotted. I am going to buy the fender bottoms but they attach to that panel. I will take a picture in the morning.

Oh wait, never mind, that one's upside down. Probably made for an Australian truck.

I guess I could probably fabricate something. I only need about 6 inches of the bottom.

I may have something let me check first. I'll let you know later today. My truck was a 3/4 ton with the large wheel opening for big tires and I've picked up a set of regular fenders, if they are there I am willing to remove that section as they are just for parts right now.
