Wiper Blades

What is everyone using?

Since I am the original owner, I've had close to 20 years of wiper blade changes. I've used different brands. I've used conventional and beam blades. I've bought wiper blades based on price - it was cheap, so I bought it. Unfortunately, I did not keep notes on performance or longevity. I just replaced them when the rubber started to deteriorate. Even the $2.97 wiper blades were good when they were new. I was not able to tell if any one brand or style was any better than all the others. I don't think the 11th generation windshield needs a beam blade, as the conventional blades work fine. GM AC Delco blades worked just as well as the Motorcraft. All of them lasted over 1 year. Some lasted over 2 years.

I just bought more wiper blades. This time, I went old school. Twin blade wipers. A conventional wiper blade, with two strips of rubber. Sort of like a twin blade razor. Some of you may remember these from back in The 70's. There's a sense of nostalgia. Makes me feel like I'm driving a van with a waterbed, a disco ball, and a lava lamp. Of course it's summer right now. So I won't actually get to see these in action.

Just bought my 2005. Don't know what brand the wipers are, but I too will be buying the twin blades when the time comes.

I've had excellent service with Bosche Icons.

I long ago tried some twin blades, crap from trees, etc gets caught between the blades.

Motorcraft exact fit wipers. The J hook only design not the universal fit em all 3 adapters in a box ones. I’ve had the best service out of those and they’re 14.98 a piece at my local dealership so they’re cheaper than a good set from Walmart or the parts house.
