What is this?

I was washing my truck this morning and found this on the cowl under the windshield wiper blade. Can anyone tell me what this is and where it goes?

I found those too a few months ago. They're some kind of part from the wipers. I tossed mine; don't think they're needed.

Thanks NASSTY. Looks like they are only used for production and are not needed afterward.

I'm in South Louisiana, so no snow for me.

I ended up putting these little keys back on the wiper arm after reading some other threads that stated the splines were getting stripped on other trucks with them not being on there. It also said dealers were replacing the entire arm under warranty instead of simply putting new keys back in them. I put a little dab of glue on them, so hopefully they stay on this time.
