Front end and interior swaps
'00 7.3 limited, stock interior aside from upgraded stereo. I love my wood grain and don't want to loose that, but all of my door panels need to be replaced and I want a slightly more modern looking dash 😅 I'm in AZ so if you have tips or advice on places to go or avoid for work, or what I can do easily by myself, that would be appreciated! Bonus points for photos or videos of your/someone you know's changes!!
For the interior stuff, I can't help much. I've spent all I'm going to spend trying to save old plastic. From here on out, It will be replaced with newer stuff, but it's pretty far down on the list.
A door panel upgrade isn't a bad diy for the front doors, it's the back doors that require more extensive work to the new panels to get them to fit right. I believe that is in the Tech section.
There is an assortment of links and write-ups out there for the dash but they are a bit scattered. A quick search of youtube for 'excursion dash upgrade/swap' will get you some good info and a lot of cons overcharging for their homemade junk.
I'll see what I can do to at least point you in the right direction when I get home.
Looking forward to seeing how your project turns out.

If the passenger doors can be done easily, that's a plus!
the interior...I want all new seats and preferably new carpet. Wondering about putting ceramicote or rhino lining under the new carpet first.
A yt video,
and here is one of the dash bezel threads from the tech section. There are more of those, more recent as well but... unless you wanted to go with a full swap from a 2016 or something.

For the carpet, it depends on how bad it is. What I should have done was clean the old carpet and put it back in. The aftermarket "laser cut carpet" sort of fits and kinda works but I just can't get it to fit as well as the original.
The person I gave my old carpet to just took it to the car wash, gave it a deep clean, and set it out to dry. It ended up looking better in his than the new carpet does in mine simply because it fits the floor perfectly. Wish I had thought of that.
A yt video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QfU0w3GFxY the information buried on the forum here is better, but the vid should give you an idea about what is involved.

the dash thread and yt video were super helpful. I'll search the threads more this weekend. That dash swap looks great!
ooo, that is a good idea with the carpet. It is all original and I'm the third or fourth owner now. I don't think I have any tears in it, I haven't noticed any anyway lol. My seats need to go though. The driver's seat actually leans in toward the console a good bit.
