My 2000 E-250 is in serious need of the driver's (left) side floor section as its pretty much disintegrated due age for the most part. I have a willing body repairman who'll tackle the job if I can find something suitable as a new part to install. This repair does not need to a forever thing, truck needs to last another 3-4 years at most, engine, transmission and suspension still in very good serviceable condition.
Between the outside kick panel to the doghouse opening from under the gas/brake pedals rearward to the seat mounting area is what I need. I could post a few photos but the rust is rather significant necessitating the floor panel replacement.
So far I'm finding parts fitting up to model year 1991 but I'm needing something from either 1992 or later to make this easier than trying to fabricate or heavily modify to fit acceptably. If anyone has done this, has a link to a post or thread about this specific job I'd appreciate your input. I'd like this to be a relatively quick and easy job making it "easy" on my body guy. We prefer something new for availability and ease of securing the parts without a lot of additional time and work. Factory parts are no longer available as I've searched most vendors of new parts along with the "rust repair panels" folks as well---most of those show nothing available beyond 1991. Money isn't really the problem but having this repair move along rather quickly would be the priority.
I'll be posting this thread in the Paint & Bodywork sub-forum too.
If not you may have to take a sawzall and head to your local pick and pull junk yard.
Thanks for a few new ideas----honestly hadn't considered looking beyond model year 2007 so the 2008 and later (temporary myopia)----could be huge possibility at least from a salvage yard. I believe the years past 2008 would be similar enough I could use one for the 2' x 2' piece I need
I'm a bit too old to DIY the salvage yard trips, will call around to see if I can have a full service yard cut out what I need.
